Acquisitions PR software company Vocus acquired HARO in 2010 for an undisclosed sum. It was increasingly filled with queries from corporate bloggers with commercial interests rather than journalists with stories to complete on a deadline. In other words, the ads were often informative or entertaining – and that’s why it worked.
