New international ethical principles for PR welcomed, education and enforcement required

In a well-publicised case the Public Relations Communications Association (PRCA) terminated the membership of Bell Pottinger in September last year for a breach of its code. In Memoriam: Craig Toyoki Miyamoto, APR, Fellow PRSA

After his journalism career, he served as director of public relations for the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, and later as executive vice president of SMS Communications, Honolulu. The Chapter inducted him as a member of the PRSA Hawaii Hall of Fame in 2003. In retirement, he continued to counsel clients through his own firm.
