Most Americans Consider Disinformation a Problem, Study Finds

More than two-thirds of Americans (69 percent) believe disinformation is a major problem in society, up from 63 percent in 2020, new research finds. While Republicans and Democrats differed in their trust of media outlets by as much as 40 percentage points, both sides agreed that local news sources are the most trustworthy.

Every so often, I’ll see it in one of my social feeds: That comment or remark from a friend, colleague or industry person taking jabs at the hard copy newspaper and those that read it. Twitter and Facebook are the new newsfeeds. I still love my hard copy newspaper. Now, I know the print newspaper has its downsides.
