I got my first job from a connection at PRSA Georgia’s Real World conference, which my mom had recommended I attend. Judy: I also went to UF, but studied journalism. I started out working for a small-town newspaper, and then for many years I was director of PR for Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami.

How long have you been in journalism and how did you get started? I enjoyed a 17-year career at several Detroit area newspapers, including 12 years at The Oakland Press in Pontiac, MI, before shifting gears and taking a job in public relations at Buick. I’ve been a Wards since 2015.
