Eric Enge and I are the main performers/presenters, and I also write the scripts and handle social promotion.

A 2016 study that analyzed 376 million Facebook users’ interactions with more than 900 news outlets found that people seek information that aligns with their views. However, he didn’t realize someone filmed him and posted it online, which quickly became viral. Wake up America!

What I wasn’t initially anticipating within the field is the creativity, anticipation and thrill it entails when conceiving campaigns, writing pitches and landing links. Again, the aim is to think like a journalist and understand the craft of writing an article. It would’ve been easy to simply look at the ‘sweariest’ films.

In my Internet & Mobile Strategy Lab class at Johns Hopkins University , my final group project for the semester was to create a “viral video&# about the JHU M.A. Does our video have the makings of a viral video? Im not sure how to resolve that for the future, especially when it comes to filming outside. Probably not.

A few years ago, I helped write Share This Too which became the CIPR’s social media handbook and the area I covered was social media crises. The video ended up going viral on the internet and making it to all of the main news channels. The brand went viral on social media in early May – not always a good thing in this instance.
