Measurability of PR efforts is increasingly important. Focus on authentic brand story and thought leadership. Audiences are more in control of what content they consume and which channels and formats are being used to consume this content. Offline PR efforts, such as events, will need to be measured in terms of ROI.

They may have more in common with some segments of consumers, but it doesn’t mean that the basics are really different. I suspect many of the award winners wouldn’t hold up if their effectiveness was tested and measured. It’s like asking someone to come in and write a thought-leadership piece and then have no thoughts to offer. .
