It’s why much of the local and regional media is on its knees. Advertising, at least in Europe and the US, has shifted from local and national media to Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, and to a lesser extent Twitter. Twitter supplied raw data for an 11 year period from 2006 to 2017. Digital news is a commodity business.
