He published a paper called PR 2020 on behalf of the CIPR in 2011 that examined the future of PR. The web was the most significant shift in publishing since the invention of the printing press in the 15th Century. It’s indicative of the fact that outside of customer service, social media engagement has largely become a paid activity.
