If you’re sharing PR-related content, an obvious hashtag is #pr. Because even if your content is not relevant solely to independent PR professionals, it might still be of interest to them. When you went to college, you were put on a list of people who were in… and were not on the list of everyone else who was out.

If nothing else, I imagine the celebs will strong-arm their own celeb friends with deeper pockets than you and I so as not to appear failures. The biggest PR lesson here – because what is this campaign, if not an exercise in trying to raise awareness? Justin and everyone have added such great commentary I dont have much to add.

ITA that social is not for everyone; you shouldnt be there "just because." Balance is really the key, isnt it? Which is to say, get together to talk about things OTHER than social media and PR; maybe some of us get together and just talk/tweet about our favorite wines or TV shows for 30 minutes. but not the world.

Despite the fact that the application process was clearly outlined on our website (and anywhere else the job descriptions were posted), I can’t tell you how many emails and resumes I received directly from applicants. It really doesn’t work in the long run. I think youre right though, that passion isnt everything.
