Pieces of the theatre

In his weekly column "Max's Column" for TBmagazine, Maxim Behar talks about the difficulties and changes in the Bulgarian economy and business and the only force that counts - experience.

Inexplicable things happen in Bulgaria. If somehow in politics, and even in the business environment, we are used to surprises, the least we could expect is that actors, directors would publicly, even very publicly, grab each other by the scruff of the neck and, as if they were on the village square, start a super disgusting Punic war. And not in any theatre, but in the most important, the most prestigious and - probably - the most professional. The one that bears the name of the brilliant erudite Ivan Vazov.

I don't even think of having an opinion on who is wrong and who is right in all this extremely complicated mix of gossip, intrigue, and accusations. But I know from life that when two people fight, each has his own truth, and each has his own guilt. Without exception!

And so, to get out of this rather shameful story for both parties, there is only one way - get on stage in public and shake hands. The whole Bulgaria, and Grandpa Vazov from above will see you and take off your hat. Swallow what you must swallow, forget what you must forget and set an example of intelligence, modern thinking, and professionalism.

The whole country is watching this ill-fated performance in disgust and counting the pieces that have been broken off in recent months. If this pointless battle of village honor continues, these pieces will be hard to pick up. Almost impossible!
