We’re back with another meet the team. For September, get to know all about our concert loving Account Executive, Sarah!

How long have you been at Prohibition? Since January 2022, 7 months later and still loving what I do!

What do you love most about your job? I love that I am constantly learning on the job. I’ve learnt so much in the space of 7 months and I’m excited to see what the future holds.

Tell us a bit about your journey to working at Prohibition. I studied Multimedia Sports Journalism at university and realised I wanted to go into PR after the ‘Sports PR and Communications’ module in my third year. My first role within the industry was when I worked at Manchester City Football Club as their Communications and Charities Intern during lockdown until the end of the 20/21 season. I learnt so much from my time there and immediately started to look for my next step in PR when I finished my internship. I then moved onto working in the communications team at Asda’s head office before moving to Prohibition. It took me 4 months to move across the canal!

What’s your top tip for someone looking to get into the PR industry? I would say be prepared to get stuck into everything because no two days are the same! One day you could be drafting content plans and press releases and the next you could be out on a shoot, filming in a different city. You will never get bored of work.

What’s your favourite social media platform and why? Probably TikTok, I love that it’s super user friendly and is filled with amazing content. However, I am guilty of spending too much time on there though.

What do you love most about working/living up North? The people- everyone is so friendly! (Especially in PPR HQ!)

What three things could you not live without? Concerts, Football and Remy (my cat)

Give us your favourite quote. “As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.” – Audrey Hepburn

If you could switch places with any celeb for the day – who would it be and why? It would have to be Selena Gomez. She uses her platform to empower women and serve us with great music, TV and amazing makeup products. All whilst encouraging transparency when it comes to talking about mental health. She is an icon and would absolutely be the person I’d want to play me in a movie haha.

What’s something you’re secretly (or not so secretly!) really good at/passionate about outside of work? I love performing arts and the theatre, I attended Drama school when I was younger and achieved a few LAMDA qualifications. I wanted to be an actress for the longest time. I’m also (secretly) really into Anime at the moment, so my lazy days usually consist of binge-watching Naruto 😅
