We’re excited to announce a partnership with Meta to provide NewsWhip’s tools to Meta’s Third-Party Fact-Checking (3PFC) program, the largest global fact-checking network of any platform, with more than 90 independent fact-checking organizations around the world who review and rate viral misinformation in more than 60 languages globally.

The partnership will extend NewsWhip access to all of Meta’s fact-checking partners around the world.

The partnership builds on NewsWhip’s Data for Democracy program, which provides access to NewsWhip’s tools to many NGOs and other organizations. Under the program, NewsWhip gave access to over 60 journalists and fact checking organizations during the early days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, helping them spot Russian disinformation all around the world.

NewsWhip’s CEO Paul Quigley said: “We’re proud to partner with Meta to provide access to fact-checkers in its Third-Party Fact-Checking program. With over 90 participating organizations, this is a truly global program, providing safety and integrity all over the world. It’s hard to imagine a higher impact place for our real-time monitoring to be used.”

NewsWhip Spike is a real-time media monitoring platform that allows users to track false stories, monitor questionable sources and narratives, and predict public engagement with any story. NGOs and media organizations can use this technology to explore the scale and impact of misinformation and fake news in any location, topic, theme, or industry, with precision signals coming from over 250M data points per day.
