A new direction

Joining Wadds Inc. makes a lot of sense as we pool resources, maximise our expertise of the creative industries and cut out duplication. We’re excited to put our partnership to work.

Most people will know that over the past few years, my focus at Astute.Work was on building out the management consultancy side of the business.

Working as a professional adviser and non-executive director is something I love and I’ve spent considerable time developing my experience and skills, most latterly completing my Certificate in Company Direction with the IoD.

It’s also an area that mirrors much of the work done by Stephen at Wadds Inc., which is why closing Astute and joining the family business is a natural next step and an obvious extension to our existing working partnership.

Our focus on building sustainable value for great people doing great things in the creative industries is one we both truly believe in and a passion we share.

It’s something we live and breathe, over the boardroom and the dinner table - and in our house, the discussion never gets old. Yes, we’re ‘those’ people.

I’m thrilled that some of my existing clients such as Resonance and Magic Digits have come with me to be part of the Wadds Inc. portfolio.

Success isn’t a zero sum game. When others do well, it increases opportunities for us all.

Which is why we’re excited to launch Wadds Inc. #2 with this new report focused on strategic planning and crisis preparedness.

Whichever way you look at it, the next six to twelve months are going to be challenging for anyone running a business.

Strategic planning is absolutely vital at this time. Swift, assertive action can be the difference between a company that thrives and one that closes during a downturn and recession.

The good news is that if you’re an agency boss, we’ve done some of the leg work so you don’t have to.

Our report contains a PESTLE exercise and considers market conditions and capabilities. It also features a number of actions agency owners can take now to build resilience, manage risk and be ready for the upturn when it finally comes.

It’s a starting point for your own planning and we hope it provides a useful tool as you prepare for 2023.

Big events like we’re living through right now can sometimes cause management paralysis. There are strong headwinds, but clear direction based on insights can help you navigate these and even move into new strategic space. That’s something to feel positive about.

If you’d like support working through the strategic planning process, please just give us a call. We’re here to help.
