How to make a PR portfolio in minutes using SlideShare & Coveragebook.com

It’s the big day. That interview for your dream job in PR. It’s time to show off the best bits of any campaign you’ve worked on. It’s your time to shine…as it were.

Don’t waste precious prep time cutting and pasting clips. Build a cool looking coverage book in minutes. You get to focus on thinking about what to say.

Get your best bits of coverage on LinkedIn now…
But even if you’re not looking for a job why not get the good stuff on your linkedin profile? Just in case.

We’ve lost count of the times we’ve been asked if our coverage books can be embedded or shared on linkedin. They can…and we’ll show you how.

It’s pretty simple…

Step 1:

Go to http://www.slideshare.net/. A really nice tool (owned by LinkedIn) to upload & share presentations. You can even login using your LinkedIn account & it all just works. Lovely stuff.

Step 2:

Build & export your coverage book (using coveragebook.com of course) as a PDF.

Step 3:

Create a new http://www.slideshare.net/ and upload the PDF file

Step 4:

You can then choose to embed your sexy new PR portfolio directly within your LinkedIn profile…..or even on your own website. Nifty.

And that is about it. Told you it was simple.
