The University for Ministers…

In his weekly column "Max's Column" for TBmagazine, Maxim Behar talks about the difficulties and changes in the Bulgarian economy and business and the only force that counts - experience.

I am more than convinced that the generation in power must be totally changed. In politics, there must be new people, with new ideas, with an absolutely new approach and no "memory" of the decades of vulgar language, insults, aggression, and amateurism on the political stage. It is the absolute truth that generations change every five to seven years, and if now Bulgaria, and not only, is governed by young people in their thirties and above, then our country will be in safe, experienced hands...

And the second requirement, besides knowledge, is the ability. Some have it, some don't. No university prepares its graduates for practice. I've graduated from several universities, including the phenomenal Harvard, that acquired new popularity recently, and I can easily confirm that real action requires other knowledge and practice.

Management is a very complex process. And it gets more complicated with the dynamics of time. You need patience, tact, decisiveness, but also excellent communications. I am convinced that when we elect politicians, managers, even directly judges and prosecutors one day (I'm sure it will happen), we should look only at their practical skills. Because otherwise, we will only rely on the university for ministers, which has been churning them out for years...
