We’re back with another meet the team! For November, get to know all about our super talented Junior Account Manager Becca – who has a natural flair for all things PR!

How long have you been at Prohibition? I’ve been at Prohibition for 8 months now, I started at the end of February 2022. The team were so welcoming when I joined and are so supportive –  I feel like I’ve always been here!

What do you love most about your job? I genuinely love the variety of clients and the work we produce for them. Coming from mainly a B2C background where I did lots of traditional PR and product placement, I’m really enjoying working with more B2B clients and developing my skills across social and campaigns, whilst still doing some traditional PR and product placement. The balance of B2B and B2C whilst upskilling across all areas is really important to me.

Tell us a bit about your journey to working at Prohibition. I discovered PPR early in my career as I knew people in the industry who had worked or started working here. It’s a company I often saw shouting proudly on socials about their work, clients and culture and I knew it was somewhere I wanted to work. Fast forward 2 and a half years and I’m really happy my judgement from afar was right. It’s easy for companies to talk the talk, but PPR values are key to creating the positive and supportive culture they hold, with a great balance of working hard whilst having fun.

What’s your top tip for someone looking to get into the PR industry? Volunteer for work experience to get yourself into the industry and make contacts, don’t stop asking questions, have and use your initiative, be proactive and positive.

What’s your favourite social media platform and why? For pleasure, Instagram – I just love looking at image-led content.

What do you love most about working/living up North? I am Leeds born and bred so I’m biased, but I think living up north and in close proximity to lots of countryside really helps with the work life balance and downtime. I love the city, but I also love to get out into nature, and I feel all of these things are easily accessible living in Leeds.

What three things could you not live without? Fresh bedding, cats, the Yorkshire countryside

If you could switch places with any celeb for the day – who would it be and why? I’m struggling on this one haha – but I want to say Kim K!

What’s something you’re secretly (or not so secretly!) really good at/passionate about outside of work? Cooking. I absolutely love cooking anything and everything, pasta is really important to me, although I’m a terrible baker which I don’t understand!
