JUST Capital and The Harris Poll explored how the American public expected companies to respond to the most crucial issues of 2020.

A survey of 2,055 U.S. adults was conducted from Oct. 20-22, 2020.

Key findings include:
1.) 72% of Americans think that business leaders have a role to play in assisting their employees during this election by providing helpful information about voting in their state.
2.) 83% of respondents said that the health of our economy depends on the strength of our democracy.
3.) 75% of Americans believe media companies – including social media – should prioritize providing citizens with facts about the election and helpful information about voting.
4.) 71% of respondents said companies should pause or stop advertising on social media platforms that do not actively combat misinformation about the election.
