Instagram test new UGC tool

Instagram are testing a new feature that allows brands to early source user-generated content (UGC).

This great feature will allow brands and businesses to maximise on the power of UGC while still giving credit to the original creators. This enables brands to streamline their delivery of authentic marketing campaigns, showing real customer interaction to potential customers.

Meta announce in-app shopping updates

Meta have announced that they are streamlining the in-app shopping experience and improving AI ad targeting options. The new and improved ‘Shops’ will allow users to make purchases without leaving the Facebook and Instagram apps, removing barriers to entry for purchasing.

Alongside this, Meta is looking to implement new features such as ratings, reviews and improved product pages to enhance all areas of in-app shopping.

Twitter update DM function

Twitter have released an update allowing users to reply to any message within a DM thread – making it easier to interact within group chats/discussions. It has also added a new emoji picker within DMs to react to messages with a range of emoji options, mirroring features on other social media channels and increasing the community feel on the channel.

In addition to these updates, Twitter chief Elon Musk says that the first rollout of encrypted DMs will be launched shortly, adding more security and privacy in the app.

TikTok hosts TikTok World event

TikTok recently held its ‘TikTok World’ event, sharing guides and tips to elevate your content creation. The most useful being a ‘Creative Codes’ guide which highlights the key principles to great content and maximise your TikTok efforts.
