It’s hard for a cottage industry to compete in an overcrowded marketplace but 5 star Bluebird Meadows Bed and Breakfast has found a way.
First of all, they’re just very good at what they do. We’re here to tell you that owner Donna Jerry makes the greatest 4 course homemade breakfast in the history of the universe.
No exaggeration. Seriously, the sumptuous breakfast is literally designed so you don’t have to stop for lunch.
But back to their brand storytelling. Photos. Gorgeous ones. Ones that are alluring and honest. You know that adage that a picture is worth a thousand words? These people get it.
Mind you, it doesn’t hurt that their son is Tyson Jerry of Klix Photography, an all-round good guy. Incidentally, he is also the Guinness World Record holder for the Longest Journey by Alternative Fuel.
And then there’s the B&B itself.
It’s located in the heart of Southern Georgian Bay and situated on 47 acres filled with walking trails. Featuring beautiful gardens and a relaxing fish pond, Bluebird Meadows offers its guests most of the amenities of a larger resort but with the intimacy and attention to detail that only a B&B can offer.
A private guest wing and entrance makes for a relaxing come as you please stay, with an inn like ambiance. All the guest rooms feature central air, en suite baths and king, queen or twin beds.
There’s also a fitness room, an out-door spa that runs all year round hot tub, guest lounge, deck and a relaxing pond patio and sitting area.
And it’s near to all kinds of great hiking, birding, swimming and skiing. Horseback riding, dog sledding, and golfing are all within short drives.
And did we mention the food?
Host Donna Jerry is a total rock star of the culinary arts.
One of our breakfast’s started with an assortment of fresh juice (not from concentrate!) and freshly ground coffee and assortment of specialty teas, home baked muffins, breads and croissants, fresh fruit/yogurt, a quiche, Canadian bacon topped off with blueberry buttermilk pancakes and local maple syrup.
But here’s the great thing…. The meal is always a surprise and always made with whole grains and what’s fresh and in season. Little extras like homemade jams and salsa round out the morning fare.
Extraordinary value, great people, a charming country setting, and a smart photo-driven, SEO savvy website — that’s what have set Bluebird Meadows apart and meant that they are almost always booked several months, sometimes years in advance.
