Come on! Were they inexperienced…

In his weekly column "Max's Column" for TBmagazine, Maxim Behar talks about the difficulties and changes in the Bulgarian economy and business and the only force that counts - experience.

Now, many people attribute the title for being…inexperienced. Politicians, beginners in business, even those who want to go into science. Some of them arrive with degrees from Harvard, from Stanford, from Oxford... then they moan and groan in offices and from TV studios that they have no experience yet. Because their peers, who did not have the time and the means to stay at more prestigious universities for a few happy years, are now more experienced.

There is no way to accept at all that there can be an inexperienced person in life now. All the information, all the knowledge we have on social media, in accessible texts, videos and podcasts, now so public that one only has to touch it, spend days digesting it, and then learn how apply. There is not a single line or sentence of something innovative and important that is not public, with all its risks, with all its benefits, and how to implement it. What each of us can now achieve on their own, no university, no institution can give it to them. Including the experience, the so-called case studies now available for each of us.

And... I'm starting to think that the so-called inexperience is more of an excuse, for laziness, for lack of interest, or for someone's unwillingness to become better and more professional.

Or for all three together.
