Trip report: Climbing the three highest mountains in the UK in a week

It’s easy to get disheartened by the news agenda in the UK but there’s plenty to celebrate about its people and places. The numbers tell the story: a marathon walk, 3,400 metres climbing, almost £8,000 raised for charity, and 1,050 miles on the road, over seven days. My son Dan and I are back in the North East of England after spending a week on the road in our campervan visiting Scotland, Wales, and England, and climbing the highest mountain in each country.
