The countdown is on to the PRSA International Convention in Indianapolis!

Known as the racing capital of the world and host of an additional 400 national and international sporting events over the past 30 years, Indianapolis has established its reputation as a major sports and event destination. This past May, the city welcomed nearly 400,000 fans from around the world to soak in a century of tradition and innovation surrounding the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and its epic 100th race.

Visiting Indy in October doesn’t mean you can’t experience the thrill of the Speedway. Just a few miles from the JW Marriott, here are ways to celebrate and experience Indy’s racing heritage:

  • Take a track lap in a real IndyCar going 60 to 185+ mph with a professional driver though the Indy Racing Experience
  • See a grand collection of historic cars that have defined racing and the auto industry at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum
  • Challenge your family and friends at the new Speedway Indoor Karting facility, owned and operated by former Indy 500 driver and team owner Sarah Fisher
  • Sample former IndyCar driver A.J. Foyt’s wine collection paired with local meats and cheeses at his new Foyt Wine Vault
  • Get a taste of Indy’s thriving craft beer scene at the new Daredevil Brewing Co. located on Speedway’s Main Street
  • Explore the interactive museum at Dallara IndyCar Factory, where IndyCars are designed, manufactured, and tested
  • Play the Pete Dye-designed Brickyard Crossing golf course, with four holes inside the oval

Of course, Indy is much more than racing. Vibrant neighborhoods, local coffee shops, award-winning chefs, world-class museums, boutique shops, and eclectic evening entertainment are all just steps away. Plan your visit at VisitIndy.com.
