We’re back with another Meet the Team feature! This month, get to know our creative and talented Account Manager (and also our Employee of the Year 2020), Victoria!
How long have you been at Prohibition? I’ve been with Prohibition for just over 2 years now – 2 years, 4 months to be precise! Time flies…
What do you love most about your job? It may sound cliched, but I love that every day is different – I can go from planning an integrated B2B campaign, to drafting press features, to filming with macro influencers! And of course, I love the team too – everybody gets mucked in and supports each other, and I laugh on the daily.
Tell us a bit about your journey to working at Prohibition. I started out studying journalism at university, I did a string of interning at publishing houses and magazines before eventually making the leap to the dark side of PR (haha!). After graduating I was working a full-time job and interning at a PR agency on my days off – it was intense, but I knew I enjoyed the fast-paced agency life and it worked out well in the end! Fast forward nearly five years and here I am! 😊
What’s your top tip for someone looking to get into the PR industry? I think my number one top tip would be show an eagerness to learn and get stuck in, to not shy away from tasks that may seem a little daunting at first, and to get as much experience as you can!
What’s your favourite social media platform and why? It has to be Instagram! I love anything visual, aesthetically pleasing and creative so I follow tonnes of art, fashion, design and interiors accounts and I can get lost for ages.
What do you love most about working/living up North? There’s no other place to be right?! I’m a country girl at heart and so I couldn’t be without our rolling green hills – or the tea, or the people!
What three things could you not live without? My morning coffee, my fiancé, and music!

If you could switch places with any celeb for the day – who would it be and why? Official answer: Alexa Chung, and even better if it could be during the Alex Turner days! I’ve always thought she’s the coolest, effortlessly chic, and just to live the glam fashion life would be a dream. (Secret answer: a Kardashian, probably Khloe or Kourtney, I mean how wild would that be?).
What’s something you’re secretly (or not so secretly!) really good at/passionate about outside of work? I’m obsessed with all things interior design! I’m always pouring over interiors accounts and mags, and find such joy in being in beautiful surroundings. My partner and I renovated our home from top to bottom and I loved the freedom and creativity to do whatever we wanted with the space – and I’m always itching to start the next project! Starting an interiors/reno account is on my to-do list.
