In the world of Digital Public Relations and Marketing we are apt to become cynical fast. What is it about the new face of the web? Why is it so powerful? What has changed in the world? The answer is everything, and nothing.
The world has changed, sure… the only constant is change. But the way we search for things, the way we consume information and experiences has changed completely. When I think back, even a few years ago, you did not look around at an event or a happening and see everyone holding up a lump of tech that captures the moment and streams it to the ether.
The world has indeed changed. While there are still wars and tragedy every day, you don’t have to consume the news the way it was previously done. The choice is there. You can choose to filter the things you want. Good news and cat videos can be your only intake if that’s your choice. The main thing that has changed is that humans can now search what they want, when they want and get exactly that.

This is what folks around the world have been looking for, searching and seeking out and reacting to on human levels never before experienced by our kind. We are a step closer to realizing we are all connected somehow, and that in itself is a step closer to greatness.
Watch the video and see for yourself. We’re not only looking for hard news or bad news. As humans we crave inspiration, exaltation and perhaps a reminder we are not alone.
