Lockdown Unconference comms event

You’re invited to join a new Unconference learning and development event. Better still, come and share an idea.

Nine months ago I created an online community of practice for people studying and working in marketing, media and PR. It’s grown to 1,500 people and become a lively hive mind, newsroom and source of information, help and support.

You’d be very welcome to join.

There have been lots of proactive suggestions within the community for proactive means of support during this most recent lockdown.

Several people suggested one-off events and discussions. I thought an Unconference might work. Let me know what you think and please pitch in if you’re interested in leading a slot.

  • Four, five minute presentations via Zoom followed by 10 min Q&A. Max three slides

  • Sessions on the last Friday of the month (starting 26 February), 1pm-2pm

  • Pitches on a topic, issue or business interest but it must be related to media, marketing or PR

  • Speakers submit a pitch (max 100 words) and biography. Please use this form. No sales pitches, thanks

  • Agenda published a fortnight in advance

The first event will be 1pm-2pm GMT, 26 February. Follow this link to sign up via the Facebook community. Alternatively you can use Eventbrite.

If it works I'll run them each month. If not there's nothing ventured, nothing gained.
