I am back on the road again – heading to Las Vegas this time around!

I am extremely excited, honored and thrilled to be part of the Adobe Insiders group heading to Adobe Summit, Adobe’s amazing digital marketing conference.

As you all know, I love Adobe. They have been truly the best brand to work with over the years. As an educator, I use their tools all the time for my own work, but also for my classes.

I have never been to Adobe Summit – this is very first time! I have been to Adobe MAX (which is their creativity conference) and the great Creative Campus events they host around the country. They held their first one earlier this month in Melbourne (honored to have presented there while I was on my sabbatical in Australia).

So, what does it mean to be an Adobe Insider?

The Adobe Insiders group (which will be the largest to date I believe for Adobe this year) are a group of professionals coming together to share their experiences on social media during the event This group makes up of journalists, media personalities, influencers, industry experts and and educator (that’s me!).

The conference is from March 26-28, but the Adobe Insiders group has already been in full swing in preparing what sessions we want to cover, meet ups, interview sessions, and of course – creating content.

As a social media professor who has covered influencer marketing in class and done some influencer marketing campaigns for brands and clients (ex. Breeders’ Cup, adidas, Churchill Downs, etc), I am very impressed with the set up and framework Adobe has done here in this area.

There are IM campaigns, and then there is the Adobe standard. Everything has been thought out – when I was thinking of questions I wanted to bring to our Insiders call the other day – everything was laid out and additional resources were presented.

Here are some of the extra elements Adobe has thought of in preparation for Adobe Summit for the Insiders group:

Access, access, access. Adobe has traditionally been one of the most accessible brands to work with for events. I have been very impressed with the number of channels we have here for getting in contact with the Adobe team before, during, and after the conference.

We have of course email, Twitter (our Adobe Insiders group thread is EPIC!), Slack, and SMS. I feel very comfortable knowing the fact I have many different ways to get in touch with the team.

Insiders Briefing before Event. It’s always good to have a clear expectation for what will be featured, expected, and what to be aware of ahead of an influencer event. Adobe did this through a webinar with everyone in the group, which was great.

We were able to get a chance to see the various events that were scheduled for the conference, and specific activities we had going on. Lots to soak in and plan for over the next few days!

Blog feature introducing the Insiders. Adobe wrote a blog post ahead of the conference letting everyone know who will be the Adobe Insiders this year for the conference.

Not only is this great for attendees who will be at the event, but what a great way to virtually introduce yourself to your fellow Insider colleagues!

Branded social images to share. This was brilliant and I remember getting the email with my graphics and completely geeking out! What was great was the fact we had images we could share on each of our main platforms, and they were in the correct size configurations.

Here’s one of my branded templates here. Note my fellow professors who are doing influencer marketing campaigns – this may be a good idea to consider if you are having your students propose or even launch an IM campaign for class. Will be integrating this in my classes when I get back from my sabbatical.

Cover page with strong CTA. Not only did we get great branded images to share, we each were able to get branded cover images to share on our Twitter and Facebook pages.

What is also great is the fact there is a CTA listed here for how to be part of the conversation for this conference. Brilliant! CTAs are often not taken into consideration here for IM campaigns, so props to Adobe for really doing this very well here.

I am very excited for the upcoming few days and I can’t wait to share with you all the takeaways, lessons, and best practices I learn from Adobe!
